why would you think high end minis would be attainable in a few weeks? even farming 50 a day would take you over 3 months at that rate to equal the last offer I had for my kanaxai (5000 ectos). With the now easily farmed ectos, if anything the # of ectos needed for a sale on high end minis will rise even farther

Ecto price is already dead you just didn't play or don't remember when they were 16k at trader. There is next to nothing that can fix this economy as there are to many players that are poor and QQ about the prices and other things in pve. Which is the whole reason why these updates have come to pass. They are making pve noob friendly to stop the crappy players from crying instead of making them actually get some skill.

Ecto has been at that stable price for months, fluctuating only slightly. So what are you getting your panties in a twist for people? So what if more people can now farm in easier ways than before (given the fact the perma SF is just easier now)? You'll find after the initial rush those people will eventually get bored and go back to playing normally, leaving the uber-farmers to carry on going (like they always have).

I don't expect SF will be nerfed, but I expect changes to be made to the Mindblade Spectre drop tables. It would only be fair to make them drop ectos at the same rate as Terrorweb Dryders and Smite Crawlers, as the difficulty of farming them are about the same. They can even say in the update notes:

I'm pretty sure that they have the same drop rate. It's just that there's like 171 mindblades and not merely as many smites or dryders.

For people who are amazed at the amount of ectos they get in a short amount of time, all true. Very true that its ezy to use; dusted off my mule sin, checked out the build, one try and completed with 6 ecto in 30 min. Simple.

I dont really see a big ecto crash coming. Before SF's duration was buffed there was also the OF Ele build, which can also solo a few more parts than the sin. Ive not seen the ecto prices drop when that build was release so Im not expecting a large drop in ecto prices. However that leaves 2 professions that can do this solo, so more people getting ecto. The shard prices dropped to nothing only because there were so many builds that can farm for them (ursan clearing, 600/smite team, SF ele, etc).

Afraid of your ecto losing value?

I do not think ecto will ever regain back its high value, so its a good decision to just convert them whether or not there will be a crash. Convert to cold plat or something of sustainable value like fireworks or sweets. Im thinking about investing in UW scrolls. You look at it favor drops about 300-200 a day, so theres about 30-40 days of favor left (considering that there are no favor spikes from events). Think about the UW scrolls though, used to about 1.8k each at trader.
